I've just been offered some material relating to 16340 Sergeant J.J. Warmington, who is believed to have served at Montrose and  in Egypt in 1918. As there are glass slides of pages from manuals on erecting and rigging aircraft included, I assume that Warmington was involved in training riggers, at least in Egypt. Can anyone add anything else ?

Hi Nick,

The service number you have given is incorrect (A typo I assume).

Remustered to Air Force Trade Classification: Carpenter.

R.N.A.S. Rating or R.F.C. Rank or Appointment: Acting Sergeant (paid).

Date of Joining: 16 December 1915.

Date of Last Promotion: 1 January 1918.

Many thanks for this.
The service number was as supplied by the donor, though I should have taken more notice of it before transcribing it !
I'm waiting to see what other information turns up along with the slides.
