I would be grateful for assistance in understanding my GF's RNAS/RAF service in WWI. He served for over 2 years at the airship/aircraft station at East Fortune, and was then posted to 'Edinboro Castle' from Feb 1919 to April 1920, when he was discharged. It is the period at 'Edinboro Castle' that I would like to understand - who/what/where was that. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Thank you,
Mike Dewey

It could be the obvious Edinburgh Castle?

There was also an HMS Edinburgh Castle, although the ship did not serve in home waters or have a need for aviation personell.
