I'm looking in to the 'back story' of 219, the 3 Squadron Bleriot XI presented by the International Correspondence School (ICS) after 'Bobbie' Slack had flown it on two promotional tours in June-September 1912.

Particularly, I'm looking for details of visits made to Edinburgh (Gorebridge ?), Newcastle, Harrogate, Leeds, Sheffield, Coventry & Rugby; & 2nd tour : Purley, Brighton, Worthing, Shoreham and Hastings.

There is not a lot in Flight - just a tendency to summarize - but the local press must have covered it in some detail as this co-incided with the Military Trials and the Daily Mail aerial tours.

Anyone come across more on this ?
Thanks
Nick
