Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

Through the web site we accept PayPal, or credit and debit card payments. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else outside the UK, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

We also accept Visa and Mastercard for orders placed by post. Although we charge for any items at the time they are ordered, if the items are unavailable and cannot be back-ordered we will refund the amount paid.

Any orders placed through this medium are received by the Treasurer, who then forwards them to the Sales Manager to process. This is done by email. Orders for printed copies of previous Journals are passed to Peter Wright (who holds the stock) for despatch. Orders for Winged Victor are dealt with by Gordon Atkin, the Author and our Treasurer, whilst requests for copies of Ben-my-Chree are dealt with by Colin Huston, its publisher. The remainder are dealt with directly by the Sales Manager. Delays can occur at this stage if these volunteers are away, or otherwise occupied - please be patient.
Downloads will be automatically made available as soon as the financial transaction is complete. Journal pages within downloaded files will be full screen on a monitor set to 1600 x 900 pixels or less.

All other items are sent as ordered. You should note that Surface Mail to the US and the Rest of the World can take up to eight weeks to arrive.

Delays may occur in processing orders if the individual responsible for their despatch is unavailable. Orders will be dealt with as soon as is possible.

If items are not available you will, if at all possible be notified by email and the Treasurer will refund the cost, unless new stock can be obtained quickly.

If UK and Airmail customers do not receive any response, or delivery of goods within 28 days of their order, they should contact the Sales Manager. Overseas Surface Mail customers should allow eight weeks. We have noticed that on rare occasions PayPal has not informed us of an order. Although we do carry out regular audits, items can be missed.

You may send your credit card information via phone, post or securely over the Internet. Although we would suggest that you do not send credit card information via an unsecured email link, if you do send the information over the internet we strongly advise you to divide the information into a number of separate emails.

You may also order goods via the post, making payment either by personal cheque or by providing your credit card details.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. Where possible you will be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

Books, subscriptions and back issues are exempt from VAT.

Where an item is not a book (e.g. Binders etc), made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is included in the price. All other orders are VAT free.

Guarantee

We guarantee your satisfaction.
