War Graves Appeal

Wedmore War Graves

‘I would like to say a a big thanks to everyone who has contributed towards the Wedmore War Graves Appeal from Cross and Cockade. To date we have received more than £1,700 from Wedmore and literally all over the world, including donations from across the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Germany, the Czech Republic and India.  Please do consider donating to this worthy cause - we  just need another £500 to reach our target so that work can begin this summer on renovating the sadly neglected First World War war graves in St Mary’s Churchyard, belonging to 19 year old 2nd Lieutenant Victor Bracey, Royal Flying Corps, and Private William Cottrell, 44th Canadian Infantry, Canadian Expeditionary Force.

For full details of the Wedmore War Graves Appeal please do have a look at: http://www.wedmorewargraves.co.uk

The website has facilities of making donations using credit / debit cards - and any cheques should be made out to St Mary’s Church PCC.

If donations from UK taxpayers are accompanied by a Gift Aid Form (made out to St Mary’s Church PCC) we can recover an additional 25% from HMRC.
