Many of you will have wanted to own the originals, which were published in the 1920-30s, but these sets fetch hundreds of pounds on the second hand market and are not always in good condition or complete, that is with maps and indexes.
These reprints on similar paper to the originals are first rate, retaining the look and feel of the first edition, the text as far as I can see has not been changed or edited, they are bound in good quality covers in black with gold blocking. At about
36.00 GBP per copy and the appendices at 28.00 GBP (plus postage and packing) they are a great saving over the first edition.
The Imperial War Museum and Battery press are to be congratulated on reprinting the history in such a niche market |
