This is an excellent account of a series of fighters, which were considered to be inferior to the rival Fokkers and Albatros. Nevertheless, they were flown with some success by many of the Aces, and were very good looking. The text is largely made up of first hand accounts, coupled with the author’s famous knowledge of colour schemes and markings. Many rare and interesting photographs, plus Harry Dempsey’s artwork, complete a worthy addition to this series.
