Since I moved to this delightful county, there have been several books published about aviation in the area, which is, after all (we locals think), the cradle of British Military Aviation. This one has a lot of pictures and not much script. It also lacks an Index, which makes it almost impossible to locate any airfield you wish to visit. There is a map, with Grid References, but these are not related to the text. Although this book is a pleasant browse, the best book on the subject is still Rod Priddle’s ‘Wings Over Wiltshire’ reviewed in 35/1, even if it is not, as this one is, pocket sized.
