The aces have been widely celebrated and the other branches of the Imperial German Army Air Service have tended to be overshadowed. This is an attempt to describe not only the other parts – reconnaissance and ground attack units, the airships and bombers, but also the command organisation, training and support services. Alas, I think this is too wide a subject to be covered successfully in one of Osprey’s delightful concise books.
