This volume is of a format now familiar to us, a
study in well produced black and white photographs, accompanied with very informative
captions. This volume also contains many previously unseen images.
Blackburn need little introduction as a company, and as such I was a little disappointed
by the ten pages devoted to the 1914 - 1918 period. This is, of course, perhaps due to a
lack of un-tired photographs available, but is more likely due to the affection we have
for the company's later and more innovative designs. If you are a lover of general
aviation there is much to entertain here, if you wish to further your specialist area of
study there are more in depth volumes to be found.
The volume is of good value and recommended to fellow members.
