Most people will by now have heard that the RAFM's replica RE8, Albatros DVa and Sopwith Snipe, built by Peter Jackson and TVAL in New Zealand, have landed in the UK.
Some will not know that these aircraft are currently with the Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden. The RE8 and Albatros (the Snipe is not airworthy) flew at Shuttleworth's show on 2nd September. How fantastic to see and hear these aircraft flying again in British skies! However, I suspect that the still evening air will provide the best chance for these fantastic replicas - so I'll definitely also be attending the 22nd September evening show.
These aircraft will be disappearing inside the RAF Museum at Hendon after the end of the 2012 flying season - so don't miss what might be your only chance to see them flying!
